Hyderabad, Oct 12(Rights Media) : Telangana State BJP President N Ramchander Rao today accepted challenge of state Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar on alleged deletion of votes and wanted to produce them who lost their rights during SIR process. The Congress minister challenged the state BJP chief to produce voters who claim to have lost their voting rights during revision of electoral rolls along with supporting documents.

Addressing a press conference at state party office here, BJP state president said

he is accepting the challenge and asked the minister to decide time and date and bring at least 10 people instead of many people to prove his claims and he will be present at the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) office.

Taking a dig at the Congress minister, BJP state president said “as far as I know, your Majlis friends—Asaduddin Owaisi and Akbaruddin Owaisi—are your only support. You can bring them along too if you want. Let us check the details of those 10 voters on the computers right then and there to clarify whether their votes are missing or were actually deleted.

Rao said "You don't need to bring thousands of people. Even if you bring your Majlis friends Asaduddin and Akbaruddin Owaisi to the State Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), just bring at least 10 people whose votes are missing to the CEO's office. I will come too. Let's check the records on computers. No vote is deleted without notice or inquiry. If it is proven that an eligible person's vote was deleted, let’s act as per rules to register it right there.

Rao said there is a difference between “ missing and deletion”. Vote of even not a single eligible person was deleted. There is no possibility of deleting a vote without prior notice and a field-level inquiry.

If you cannot prove it, you must apologize for your comments, Rao demanded and alleged that Congress leaders are ignoring suffering of farmers following drought situation in the state and rushing Delhi by special flight to spread lies.
