Hyderabad (Rights Media): ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management (NAARM), Hyderabad organised a programme on October 30, 2026, to facilitate 107 farmers and staff members in witnessing the release of the 24th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, through a live webcast at 11:30 AM.
During the webcast, the Hon’ble Prime Minister emphasised the importance of maintaining soil fertility and adopting climate-smart agricultural practices to strengthen the agricultural sector and contribute towards the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
Dr. Raman Meenakshi Sundaram, Director, ICAR-NAARM, interacted with the participating farmers, encouraged them to share their farming experiences and felicitated selected progressive farmers in recognition of their valuable contributions to agriculture.
As part of the programme, two live demonstrations were organised for the participating farmers from Moinabad and Vikarabad. These included a demonstration on nursery management by Ms. Sindhu and a demonstration on agricultural drone technology by Dr. P. D. Sreekanth.
The programme was coordinated by Dr. Vijay Avinashilingam N. A., Principal Scientist, XSM and Member Secretary, PM-KISAN Utsav Divas Programme, with the support of Dr. R. Venkattakumar, Principal Scientist and Head, Extension Systems Management (XSM) Division; Dr. Ramesh Naik, Senior Scientist, RSM Division; and Mr. Dhanam Murahari, Senior Technician, ICAR-NAARM.
